How can I add A to my channel?
At the moment, it is not possible to request the A bot using an automated request system, like the R bot on QuakeNet, for instance. You'll have to ask an operator in “#help.oper” to add A to your channel.
Is it possible to change the behavior of this bot to have certain reactions?

Yes, this is possible. You can set the immunity if you have the +n flag at X for the specified channel. This means, only certain users are "scanned for spam".
You can do this by type “/MSG A IMMUNITY #channel <mode>”
